A Lost Opportunity
I just started blogging this week and started looking around at other blogs. There are a lot of “Christian” sites out there that go on and on about what “true Christians” are not supposed to do (some of them border on ridiculous) instead of focusing on what we are supposed to be doing – spreading the Gospel and growing the Kingdom. When we argue over doctrinal differences we lose the opportunity to be witnesses for Christ. Seekers are not looking for the right way or wrong way to worship – they are waiting for you to tell them about the saving grace of Jesus. Let us, as Christians, unite for this one mission:
Joy
What is my joy?
The first dew drop of Spring
the laughter of a baby
my favorite ice cream
a dog hug
a kitten kiss
a day out with the family
EVERYDAY WITH JESUS BY MY SIDE!
What is your joy?
What?
Yes, I am a fool for Jesus. Well not really a fool, but that’s how people look at you sometimes when you talk about Him. I am a Christian, oops did I say a bad word? So many people these days would like us to believe that being Christian is a bad thing. They especially hate those of us who will not compromise the Bible in favor of being politically correct. They think we are closed minded, mean, and hateful when we are uncompromising in our values. But they judge Christians as hypocrites when they do compromise their values. Unfortunately many who label themselves as Christians are hypocrites because they have compromised God’s Word in order to “fit in.” Those are not true Christians so please don’t judge us by their actions. Christian means “Christ like.” The only way to know how to be like Christ is to read the Gospels and follow His example. If you are not being Christ like, then you are not a Christian (even if you do go to church every Sunday.) I am a Christian. I do not compromise God’s Word. I do not care to “fit in.” If you want to say I’m a fool – go ahead, I don’t mind being a fool for Jesus. Being His is the wisest choice I have ever made.
